Local Nation With Hamas and International Support with Fatah

More Sensitive Issue in Palestine

Hamas is freedom fighters of Palestine. The founder Sheikh Ahmed Yasin strictly followed a policy “No War within Muslim Organizations and Parties” this was an excellent policy of Hamas. This was made them more comfortable with all other parties which have different attitude and ideology in Palestine. But after the last general election

Hamas got the power of the parliament by using same democracy which is following by all over the democratic countries. But the western world in back of Israel has made several struggles to continue the power. They band the economy and helpings. Nearly more than 2 years hamas passed a hard situation in their own country, finally they came to know that Western world need to keep the power by PLO and FATAH not with Hamas. The two other second parties have also played a tricky game. This is the reason of present conflicts. Hamas has decided to wipe out the FATAH from Gaza strips and got the power, for me this is not fit that much for Hamas. Because their going to break the great policy, but according to the Hamas’s Statement they are justifying this attempt. But the situation is completely different that mean we can find Local Nation with Hamas and International Support with Fatah. Most of the International countries especially western world and the Israel don’t like Hamas Because of its stand on Israel. But Most of the Local nations Like and support Hamas because of its stand on Israel. Then the question is which Democarcy is????

Following this with interest because am concerned with situation in Sri Lanka. Especially arming of paramilitary groups by gov.

Hamas and some other groups were originally encouraged to form by Israel to weaken Fatah.

There are many issues at stake. The fundamental one being strategic.

If the Palestinians succeeded in forming a democratic, independent nation that is not dependent on the West for Aid, then it could be an incentive for other Arab societies to want to do the same. I am impressed by how close they came to achieving it in the last election. More than any other Arab country in the middle east. The Palestinians are less fractured/tribal than the Lebanese.

It is not in the interest of the US for Arab nationalism to be allowed to grow.

The gulf countries are ruled by despotic monarchs who are suported by the US government. Civil society does not have a say. If they did there would be much more support for the Palestinians from the gulf countries.

Now, Fatah in my opinion is being made use of by the U.S.

Lebanon is a secular democratic arab nation but very dependent on the west.

The Palestinians right to determine their own future is being obstructed, which is against the Geneva convention.

They voted the Hamas in democratically, and probably would have voted them out themselves, but I suspect there has been interference from external self-interested parties.

Two other people you need to consider.

Marwan Barghouthi who is still imprisoned and is considered a future leader of the P.L.O. He is widely supported and respected by the people. People feel he may be the key to bring back order to the current situation. But I suspect, he will not be willing to compromise the interests of his people he represents simply to pander to U.S. interests so he will remain in prison.

Dr. Mustafa Barghouthi (coincidentally his brother), who is a highly respected left wing moderate with his own party. Has been a go between for negotiations between Fatah and Hamas. Lobbying EU to lift sanctions. Also calling international community to boycot Israel.

Sorry to keep intruding.

I think Palestenians may still be one group of arabs who will be able to achieve remarkable things.

Abbas is a reluctant pawn. I think he knows the consequences he has to face with regard to his people. Now, he is trying to make use of his bargaining power to get Israel to release Barghouti.

Both the Barghouthis are extremely courageous individuals. Mustafa Barghouthi is an individual with great depth and vision. Palestine is lucky to have such leaders.

Eventually they are going to play a significant role in building Palestine.

There is going to be alot of hardship and maybe bloodshed, but I think it is inevitable that the Palestenians are going to get their state. More than any other arab nation, I think they are poised for success. If they achieve this, it will have a domino effect on other arab countries in a positive way.

Also Bush will be out of the scene soon.

The world is going to go through a new phase.

Obama is also going to play a significant role on the world stage.

Thats my prediction. Thought I would post it up.

Now we will wait and see. :)
